Wanted to blog today, couldn't think of anything 'original'. So I asked my "Knight in Shining Armor' what I should post about...He said....getting older.
I am not sure why he picked this topic. But three thoughts come to mind immediately:
1) Our youngest daughter turns 20 this year (doesn't seem possible). Time goes tooo fast.
2) My birthday is next month and I turn 45. WOW! How old is that! In today's mind-set it doesn't seem too old to me. However, when I was young (a teenager) it was ancient. My how times and mind-sets change.
3) Could be that for the first time ever, I am having a few issues with some health things...don't seem to recover as easily as I use to.
But I don't look at my birthday as getting older, I look at it as getting better.
Life is good! I have a great "Knight" that I love more and more everyday. I have two daughters that the Lord has blessed me with and they have turned out pretty good in spite of my short comings.
For the next 6 weeks, we are participating in a campaign at our church "40 Days of Community" and during this time we are hosting a small group in our home. It is a great experience. We have the awesome privilege of sharing our hearts, thoughts and live with 5 other couples. So far, it has been a pleasure and I look forward to more.

Enjoy!
