Here is Tallahassee it has been raining for two days. It is soooo wet and soppy outside. I had to run a few errands and eventually decided to just to come home and get out of the liquid sunshine. They say it will be gone tomorrow. We will see.
Hope you blogging buddies are having better weather where you are.

Spring Break
Next week is Spring Break for us here in Tallahassee, Florida. It will be off to the beach for some.
And many will be taking some much needed R and R. (Rest and Relaxation).
Relaxation means different things to different ones:
To some of us it's...
spending time with our family,
some of us its shopping,
some of us its reading,
some of us its crafting,
some of us its swimming, some of us its justchilling.
No matter what you plans are...enjoy
For me, first and foremost is family,,,second, it's time at the beach with a good book
or a magazine soaking in the sun..
What is your favorite thing to do to relax.
Send me a comment and let me know....

Happy Birthday Kasey
Tomorrow is Kasey's 20th Birthday. She is our youngest daughter. I wanted to dedicate this post to her.
This picture is of her with the chicken pox, of course
this one is one of dad's 'greatest' moments
this is the burly boy she has chosen to spend the rest of her life with.
I will post some of her artwork later.

My Favorite Things
My birthday is next month. And since my "Knight" reads my page often, I thought I would post some photos of 'some of my favorite things'. You know...just for a Hint! Ideas of course!! And since men are visual creatures, I am sure the photos will be helpful.
Buttons are sooo much fun. These vintage ones are beautifully designed in the shape of a heart.
Decorative pitchers. How different are these?!!Especially the one with the citrus. Never seen one quite like it. And the other one is just pretty.
flowers...what girl doesn't like 'em...
I love pottery. I only have a few pieces. But each piece is different and has a personality of its own.
These canisters are beautiful They would match perfectly in my newly remodeled 'old world style' kitchen.

I love vintage Jewelry. This is a beautiful photo displaying several lovely pieces. This picture is more and more beautiful each time I look at it. It reminds me of a basket with an assortment of flowers (made of jewelry). What could be better than that.
These are just a few of the things I call "favorites". There are others...teacups, dragonflies, sapphires.
What are some of your favorite things?

Getting Older
Wanted to blog today, couldn't think of anything 'original'. So I asked my "Knight in Shining Armor' what I should post about...He said....getting older.
I am not sure why he picked this topic. But three thoughts come to mind immediately:
1) Our youngest daughter turns 20 this year (doesn't seem possible). Time goes tooo fast.
2) My birthday is next month and I turn 45. WOW! How old is that! In today's mind-set it doesn't seem too old to me. However, when I was young (a teenager) it was ancient. My how times and mind-sets change.
3) Could be that for the first time ever, I am having a few issues with some health things...don't seem to recover as easily as I use to.
But I don't look at my birthday as getting older, I look at it as getting better.
Life is good! I have a great "Knight" that I love more and more everyday. I have two daughters that the Lord has blessed me with and they have turned out pretty good in spite of my short comings.
For the next 6 weeks, we are participating in a campaign at our church "40 Days of Community" and during this time we are hosting a small group in our home. It is a great experience. We have the awesome privilege of sharing our hearts, thoughts and live with 5 other couples. So far, it has been a pleasure and I look forward to more.

Friends
Friends are important. They share our thoughts, hearts and lives.
True friends are angels in disguise. Sent from heaven above to help us through life.
Last week I was blessed beyond measure when I received a friendship note from a dear friend of mine. The encouragement could not have come at a better time. The note was short and sweet but just exactly 'what' I needed 'when' I needed it. Isn't that just like God! He knows the desires of our heart and knows just what we need.
So, when you feel prompted by 'your inner voice' to do something nice for someone...Go Ahead! You never know...it could be the diference maker. The smallest of gestures have the largest impact. You could change someone's whole day and outlook just by sending a note or making a phone call.

Mondays
This clip art picture is a perfect example of how crazy this Monday was for me!
Just like this lady tripping with her coffee, I was 'tripping' throughout the whole day.
First, with my computer (I had taken it home this weekend with intentions of working) I left it at home and had to go back and get it. UGH!
Next, I couldn't log-on to the internet. Had to get my computer guy to fix it at lunch. Just so happens the computer guy is 'my knight', so at least it didn't cost the boss anything.
Then, the phone rang off the hook meaning that none of the paperwork in my 'to do' basket got any of my attention. But creating alot of new 'to-do's'.
Last but definitely not least...I manage to jam my shredder to the degree that it will never be the same. Meaning it will need to be replaced!
Wow! All this excitment and it is only Monday.
Cant wait to see what the rest of the week holds.

Happy March
All my life I have heard, "March winds, April showers, bring May flowers." Well today is the first day of March here in "not so sunny Florida". Today it was freeeeezing... high of 44. That is cold for us Florida girls. And...ooooohhhhhhhh the wind.......blew and blew.....and blew!! Welcome MARCH!!! Wind and All. You have definitely held up to your name this year.
March is a fun month. It is our youngest daughter's birth month. This year she will be celebrating her 20th birthday. WOW! It doesn't seem possible. Time can go so quickly.
March also means 'Spring Break' for all the kids, teachers and parents. All the kids and parents get to spend 'quality' time together making memories. Some will stay home, some will go to the beach, some will vacation other places. But whatever you do, take time just to spend some 'special' time together. You don't have to spend alot of money to make great memories. You can take photos, make crafts, bake, swim, hike, ride bikes, lots of fun inexpensive things to go together.
